BILL’S: Thought’s On Economic Stimulus Package

I have been concerned about people’s plans with the Economic Stimulus Package which is on the way. Bush tells us that they saw the problems facing the economy before it happened, and that is why they are sending us money. But as a friend of mine pointed out, when the government starts handing out "No-Strings Attached" money, it is out of an act of desperation, not concern. Wal-Mart is preparing for the Stimulus Package to arrive. They are praying that everyone comes to their store to spend it. Economists are saying that this is just a way to make the "recession" a "W recession". I guess Bush will get his namesake. A "W Recession" means that as the economy goes down, the government gives money to spend, which brings it up momentarily before it drops again, which could be even further, before starting recovery. I have heard of talk of gas reaching over $4.00 per gallon by Memorial Day. That is just around the corner, and the other day a financial advisor mentioned that the smart thing to do, would be to take the Economic Stimulus Package and put it aside for gas. The amount of money we are getting would cover the cost of the next gas increase from now until the end of the year. That’s it. But knowing the loyal people who need to buy useless items, and spend unnecessarily, I can honestly say that Berkeley Breathed has true knowledge of the people of the U.S. At least those of Texoma. Be assured, Wal-Mart has stocked up on Turnip Twaddlers ready for your burning pockets.
