I have finally found the one part of Texoma I am going to miss when I leave. Travis Street Grille is a wonderful place for a great meal. Set in Sherman's historic downtown district, directly across from the courthouse, in a building full of personality, this small store is known for it's friendly people and absolutely wonderful food.

Everytime I have gone into this place, I have gotten the bacon cheeseburger and fries. This place doesn't skimp on food. From ½ lb patties to generous toppings. The burgers are extremely juicy and full of flavor. It could leave you wanting more, but it is almost guaranteed to fill you up, and for a very reasonable price.

I am not a fan of fried pickles, but my wife loves them. She allowed me to try hers and for a guy who doesn't like pickles, I have to say that I did like these. The order amounts are also mind-blowing. There are times I have been able to split one order of fries and rings between four people and everyone got full.

I have heard many people rave over the Philly Cheesesteak, and I am hoping to go back and try this someday, but I keep getting lost in the burgers everytime I walk through the door.

If there was one thing I could take with me when I leave this area, it would be the Travis Street Grille and the wonderful people who run it. Since I can't, all I can do is give my highest recommendations for this place as a great place to dine.

LISSA’S: The great restaurant in the sky... no, Really!

There is a restaurant that gives you one heck of a view during a meal. It's called "Dinner In The Sky". You can view the website at the bottom. The last picture has the website address.

Here's a good question: "Where's the bathroom??"

BILL’S: Garcia’s Restaurant Review

Okay, here is the luck. Last week on January 8th, Lissa and I went to Garcia's Restaurant in Denison. Home of real good Tex-Mex, and one of the Oasis in this Texoma Hell. We took pictures, got menus and I was all ready to write my review.

Like everything else in this region, on January 9th, without telling their employees, the place closed for business. Everyone showed up for work, but no one was there to let them in.

So, we can add this to the list of dying restaurants, the hospital that closed, and all the factories including Texas Instruments, Folgers Sunny D Division and Johnson and Johnson that has packed up and left, and no one in this area thinks there is a problem. If one thing works here, it is the blinders that all the people wear so they can't see the problems this area has.

I mean, our neighbors are burning trash today. They don't care that Grayson County put a burn ban in effect. And with me, all I can say is "Burn it down, burn it down!"
